A Journey Within is a silent, poetic 2-D animated film that follows a woman on an inward passage through seven distinct spatial states. Each state corresponds to an inner shift — longing, vulnerability, clarity, release, unity, wonder, and dissolution. These environments are not literal locations, but experiential spaces shaped by light, stillness, movement, and cultural memory.
The film draws loosely on the emotional arc of Attar’s Seven Valleys, translating its inward journey into a contemporary and universal visual experience. With no dialogue or narration, the film relies entirely on atmosphere, restrained animation, and sound to guide the viewer.
While deeply personal, the woman’s inward journey carries quiet resonance beyond the individual, expressed only through tone, presence, and atmosphere rather than narrative or statement.
